Kiillaana, being a country with clusters of people, has a number of accents just like every country. Some accents are hardly noticeable and others are so different you'd think the language was different. I don't have all of them down yet but here are a few that I do:
The Tevernid accent:
This accent is heard throughout Tensk and is parallel and comparable to a mellow British accent. I don't know the region but it's one of the more closer to American accents.
The East Coast Accent:
This accent varies and combines elements of Catin, Keòen, and Binko. Hard to explain, but sounds kind of Scottish.
The Catin Accent:
Just your standard Catin accent, maybe a little less strong than a Catin native but totally Catin.
These are the relatively mellow accents. The next few are the very heavy ones.
The Nova Accent:
The further south away from Tensk one travels, the stronger the "British" element of the accent. More emphasis is put on sounds like 'o' and the R begins to be rolled a little bit. The S gains a little "Sh" to it. "Ah come frahm Nouuuuuu-vah!"
The Binko Accent:
Oh man. This one is so strong it takes some getting used to. Almost half the vowel sounds are replaced with the sound "ih" and any long "o" sound is pronounced "ae". The "r" at the ends of words is gone entirely, and r's are rolled. It's hard to do but I've mastered it.
The Vetonian Accent:
This one can be broken into East and West. Basically, take the southern drawl and multiply it by 10 and that's whatcha got. The eastern side is a little calmer but the west siiiiide eeeee-yis awlllll eeeeee-out! Most of Lesko Diamond's family, including his father, have this accent. Same with Gary Charles' family. They're all native Vetonians.
The Rikitonian Accent:
Take the Vetonian accent, make it extremely choppy and spoken faster than the tongue can allow and you've got the Rikitonian accent. It's so hard to understand. Think of that guy from King of the Hill who constantly mumbles random nonsense and you get the idea.
The Keòen Accent:
Take Catin, combine it with the Tevernid accent, and you got yourself Keòen! It sounds a lot like Scottish or Irish, especially on the O. "Nohh! We'uh noht gohhhing toh tha ma-ohntehns!"
Someday I'll have a video of this!
