The Treehouse

So, after I woke up this morning I have come to the conclusion that I had one of the most amazing dreams EVER!! For those that don't know, I dream in fullscreen, high detail, and full color. Plus, I dream quite often about floor plans of houses (don't ask), city scapes, buildings- basically panoramic views of things.

Well, last night I had the coolest dream ever and I was so excited!! First, I was with my dad and could somehow see over the rooftops of our neighborhood, looking southeast. There was, I noticed, a very large tree. The kind of tree that has a trunk like 4 feet thick and is about 100 feet tall with lots of healthy leaves. This tree towered over everything around. I don't know what kind it was, but it was very willow-like. My knowledge of trees is not too great so I can't really say much besides that. It wasn't a willow. It was much taller.

Anyways, I somehow got closer to it and noticed something amazing about this tree. Someone had built a treehouse on it, but no ordinary treehouse. It was a treehouse combined with a playset kind of thing. I loved the architecture so much that I scrambled to take pictures on my camera from every possible angle (something I commonly do in my dreams) and instructed my dad to do the same. This time though, it was different, as I really studied this from every angle. That's why I remember it so clearly. Yay!

So, now I'm going to try to describe it for you. Eek. Looking at it from the north (so, facing south), the fairly large house was on the right, leading into a very large backyard. I realized that this was a house along the maple forest so therefore it must be in Tarra. Later after I woke up I got to decide who owns this awesome treehouse. More on that later. Anyway, I was standing there looking up at this amazing tree. The road that the house was along was behind me, running west and then turning south to meet the front doors. A ladder just like the one I used to have on my loft bed, but much taller, climbed up on the right side of the trunk. Right in front of me were two parallel small slides that slid down to the ground. There was a patch of dirt there, for the feet to land, with the beautiful dark green lawn around it.

Walking around to the south face of the tree, the forest was to my left, so running south. I noticed that the south side of the treehouse was actually a little taller than the back side, with a staggered step separating the two halves. The treehouse went all the way around and had open walls with a little roof to keep out the leaves and rain. So, standing at the south side and looking north, there was a very large, yellow slide that went down. It was much taller than the normal yellow slides on regular playsets. I could imagine that this was a fery fun slide for little kids to slide down. So, from this angle, the house was to my right and the forest was to my left and south of me, with a little strip to the north of me separating the backyard from the street. I remember as I was taking pictures it became dark out, which is how I knew the directions. I remember being a little worried the pictures wouldn't come out. I also remember thinking how cool it would be to have a pool at the bottom of the tall slide. Before I forget, the back door and whole eastern face of the house had a porch with a roof covering it. It was definitely a house to hold parties or large gatherings at.

I remember I also met the family that owned it, because I was kind of in their backyard... LOL They were very nice and outdoorsy people who wanted to have a large house to host gatherings and have a place for their kids to have a lot of fun. I could describe the mood of the whole place as "rustic" and "campy." I really wanted to stay there and I was disappointed when I woke up.

Of course, as this was a dream, there had to be some things that just didn't make sense. There was some rule that you had to be 15+ to slide on the big slide and it had doors that only a key would open. So, there were older teenagers with keys on a bracelet unlocking these little doors. I threw that out, because that's kind of weird... LOL

So, when I woke up I felt amazing. I was so happy that I remembered this dream and of course I had trouble drawing it. So, I am here trying my best to explain it. Like I said, when I woke up I got to think of which extremely lucky people got to own this house. Well, after realizing that this house was in the Tarra forests, mainly because of the number of excellent woodworkers/builders in Tarra, the choice became obvious. This is the house of Oja and Cameron Diamond. I don't know when they will build this house but I bet you that they are starting on building it now. This little section of property is up for sale and is owned by Oja's grandparents. I know what large project Oja and Cameron are going to be doing this year!

OWNAGE I tell you, Ownage. Pure ownage. Gosh Oja is so lucky!
