There they were, together at last.
It was a beautiful nearly-autumn day and the leaves were just starting to change their color. The bell rang and there was a large shuffle of kids going every which way. Some were oblivious to everything around them and they clutched their binders tightly to their chest as they scowled and walked to their next class. Others ran outside to get a breath of fresh air and take in the glory of the changing season.
By now a couple minutes had gone by and slowly trickled a stream of kids into the Lionel High School band room. The air was filled with the sound of long low soft tones, scales, etudes, and the occasional loud blast. In walked two girls- completely identical in their looks and yet different. They both had beautiful tan skin, a signature of their Morlean heritage, and their long dark brown hair was pulled back into a sporty ponytail. They both had beautiful blue eyes and were both wearing Lionel High School sweatshirts. They were excitedly talking to one another- totally oblivious to the noise and chatter around them. They went to the shelf that they shared together and got out their instruments.
As they were taking their seats, a marvelous and very dark young man walked in- totally silent and appeared in deep thought. His dark eyes were so deep that one could easily fall in and get lost in the beauty of them. His shaggy black hair just further accented the shadows of his face. He quickly got out his clarinet and made his way to his seat. As it was the first day of symphonic band, there was no chair seating yet. The band director had shuffled everyone and put their names on the proper seats for time time being so he ended up sitting in the very front row.
One of the girls, Cameron Charles was her name, found that her seat was in the front row of the flute section. Being a sophomore, who furthermore didn't attend Lionel High School her freshman year, she did not know everyone as well as they knew each other, even though they had been marching together for almost three weeks now. She was shy and nervous, being in the front row but took a deep breath and looked at the music on her stand. It was the closer for their marching show and she began to read through it carefully and try to make sense of it so she could start right away at memorizing it.
Class started and the drum majors got up to announce some things. The room was quiet and half of the kids were sitting up straight and paying attention while the other half was bored and looking around the room. Cameron shared a quick smile with her twin sister, Jillian, who was in the trumpet section and in clear view of her. She then looked down through the rows of people, knowing that soon she would know all of them by name. Suddenly, someone caught her eye- someone very dark and very different. Someone that she could not take her eyes off of. His name was Oja Diamond.
She did not know why she could not stop staring at him. It was probably his amazing eyes, or his interesting personality, or maybe even the award-winning smile he so rarely but truly gave. Whatever the reason, she could not get him out of her mind. For the remainder of the hour, she could only think of him and nothing else- not the music, not the words of the drum majors, nothing at all. She also realized that she had no idea how she knew his name. It was as if it had just popped into her head...
Some weeks went by and every day Cameron became a little more convinced that this was more than liking, this was a crush. No- this was love. Finally, she had the courage to tell her sister, but not until something happened that made her believe 100% that Oja was the one for her.

Meanwhile, Oja was bothered by something. He felt as though something bad was about to happen but he couldn't figure out what it was. It was as if it was on the edge of his tongue but he couldn't put a name to a face or a word to a feeling. Having the Gift of Osai, Oja was gifted with foresight and could see things that were about to happen. Ever since he started high school, he felt like something was going to happen that would forever change him. As he sat at his desk late one autumn night, in the year of 2006, he was getting increasingly worried. He knew that whatever was going to happen he could handle and would accept but not knowing was making him very frustrated. He began to save up money from his job because he knew that it would serve a purpose at a later date. He began to read up on things and one day realized that his twin brother, who he was not very close to, would need him one day and that they should act better to each other.
One day, in the very beginning of the winter break, it happened. Oja was prepared, because he knew it was going to happen. An ambulance ride, stitches, and many tests later, Oja knew that he was to watch over and protect his brother. He couldn't help but cry at the relief of knowing now what happened and that he knew what to do. From that day on he committed to being his brother's watchman and would care for him whevener he fell ill. It was amazing to him how the bond between him and his twin brother was literally strengthened in a matter of minutes.
Oja felt better knowing that the ominous bad feeling was no longer constant but he still did not know why he was saving money and what it was for. He would soon find out however. He agreed to pick his brother up from orchestra rehearsal and as he opened the door to listen, the music spoke to him. He heard the most beautiful clarinet solo he had ever come across and a voice, loud and clear, told him that he was to become proactive in his musicality and achieve excellence. He stood there, entranced by it all, until his brother spoke to him. A few days later, Oja had a professional clarinet in his hands and he was practicing every day.
It was a short while later that Oja experienced something so radical that never forgot it. He couldn't even if he tried. He saw himself, but it wasn't just himself. There were 6 more people along with him. Not clearly enough for detail, but clearly enough to see, were the images of two boys and three girls. The two oldest were in the back and they were in dresses. In the middle were a boy and a girl that looked about the same age and in the front was a small but happy boy who was in a wheelchair. He was taken aback. He knew, completely, that these were his future children. He could clearly see himself and he was happy. His arm was around the most beautiful and perfect young woman he had ever seen. As he saw her face, he recognized her immediately. He knew her name. After all, her brother was one of the most interesting, inspiring, and amazing people ever. He saw that she was also genuinely happy and could even see the beautiful ring on her finger. She was his wife. She was Cameron Charles.
He didn't realize it, but he had stood up suddenly. He had noticed Cameron in the past but didn't realize how much he himself had fallen in love with her.He didn't know what to do. He had never been in love before and did not know how to approach the matter. Luckily, he quickly heard a voice telling him he was not to date her in high school; that they would find each other in college. He knew that the wait would be nearly unbearable but that he must do it. He also, suddenly, realized that Cameron had seen the same thing.

Cameron finally got the courage and late one night admitted her love for Oja to her sister. She had seen the same thing as Oja had- herself and him with five children. She shared this with her sister. Even know Jillian did not have the gift of foresight like Cameron, she could tell and know that Oja had in fact seen the same thing. This comforted Cameron, who was now very much in love with Oja. She too knew that they must not date in high school but must wait until they were both graduated.
The two tried their best through their remaining years of high school to act natural but it was hard. Their love for one another was burning and was so great that it was almost unbearable not to embrace each other. They both knew that they liked each other but their knowing eye contact said that they understood they were not to date each other.
Oja graduated in 2008 and moved back to his home state of Baydi. He lived in his grandparents second house in the woods all alone except for his cat, Abner. Some days, he missed Cameron so much that he called his brother just to talk. His bother understood completely and was very respectful of him and his situation. Oja attended college where he majored in history education and minored in music performance. He met many great friends who helped keep his mind off Cameron for the time being. When they asked him if he had a girlfriend he always said yes. He knew that the time was drawing nearer.
Meanwhile Cameron was still a senior in high school. She graduated in 2009 and went on a month long vacation to Kalta to be with her grandpa and relatives. Her oldest brother was getting married and as she watched them, she knew that the time was drawing near for her too. Finally, they were allowed to see each other and they knew the time was right. They had seen it.

It was a beautiful July day and there was a city picnic in the park. Everyone was there. Oja arrived first, with his family. They got situated and while the rest of them got in line for food he stayed, knowing that his love would soon arrive. Time seemed to crawl by as he waited. Finally, the van pulled up. As the family started piling out, he saw her. She was so beautiful- more beautiful than he could imagine. She was the one. She knew where he was and she walked over to him. They just stared into each other's eyes for several minutes before crying tears of joy and embracing each other for a very long time. They both knew the time had come and the wait for all those years was for this moment. From the time they sat down together it was as if they had been dating for a very long time.
Only a week after they finally were together, Oja proposed. Cameron was so happy and they could finally enjoy life how it was supposed to be- with each other. This was the start of an amazing adventure.
There they were, together at last.
