An Update from Diamond/Latham

Hi everyone! It's Lesko here! I thought I should pop on and do an update on us as well as some others, now that school is in full swing.

As for me, I'm doing great! After some glitches in September I am back to feeling much better. Work is going along just fine and I am well on my way to having a career as a sound technician. What would be great is if I got hired to work for the university. Then I could spent a lot of time there and get to enjoy more music. I'd be working tandem with someone else if I did that but that's fine with me! Other than that I am enjoying working at the studio and am much better at doing things right the first time and troubleshooting. Not too long now before I'm a pro!

As for school, it's going quite well. I am finally past all those annoying core music classes and have moved onto a couple business-y and core classes to help with my business major. I am enjoying marching band, band, and orchestra and love making music. Eric and I are leading the octet again also which has been very fun. I am also gearing up for my junior recital which should be good too. :)

As for family, I am totally enjoying my new role as dad. Sterling recently turned 10 months old! I can't believe how fast time has flown by! It seems like yesterday I was at the hospital holding him and now here he is almost walking. He is saying "mama" and "dada" now which is music to our ears and is starting to say a couple random words here and there. He is truly living up to his nickname, "Early Sterling." :) I'll talk more about him in a bit.

As for my band, it's still going awesome. We have about 2-4 concerts per month, half here and half in Kaytue. We finally got to use our new house for our first concert and we had a great crowd there. I love our house. So perfect! It's the new gathering place. :) Augustus and Addy just recently got a house in Sunway which is just outside PON borders that will fit the needs of Glenn when he is older and has room for their family to grow. I'll be checking it out tomorrow and helping him move in. Harper and Sarah are hoping to get a house in PON somewhere but aren't sure where yet. They are hoping that wherever they go they will be able to host the concerts. We've made lots of new and catchy songs and always are sure to play crowd favorites.

As for our house, it's totally perfect for us. We all spend the majority of our time home in the living room which we share. We've already hosted several parties and once we start filling it up with kids it won't seem so big and empty, haha. :D The houses on either side of us are starting to go up and I'm curious to see who out new neighbors will be.

Well, I'm going to go and let my wife update on herself and Sterling. See ya later!

Haha, thanks Lesko! Well, I am doing pretty well considering! I am managing to do things out of the house, even with a 10-month-old who is getting ready to walk and a huge belly that is totally getting in the way of everything. I am taking a few classes to stay active and am part of a support group called Club Spicy that is made up of band geeks who have kids. I've spent a lot of time watching their kids while they have an hour free to do whatever and they watch Sterling while I do things. I watch little Riedlan for an hour 3 days a week so that Winterwood can take a class and go to her lesson and have enjoyed doing fun activities with the other cuties of our ever-growing group. Haven Vice and I have been doing everything together lately and she has become one of my best friends. We're due within 3 weeks of each other and often do things together.

As for Sterling's little sister, she is doing well. I am about to hit 30 weeks! Les and I do have a name picked out but we'll never tell, until she's here! I've already told you all I'll tell you- that she is a girl! As Sterling is so young, he doesn't really know what's going on so he's not super excited and able to tell me cute names he thinks we should name the baby. I have been reading books and doing activities dealing with having a baby though so at least he'll know what to expect. We have our girlie room all ready to go across the hall from Sterling's room and it's all decked out in pretty stars and clouds. All of the other things are ready- a double stroller, another carseat, clothing, etc so now all we have to do is wait for little Miss Diamond to arrive!

As for Sterling, he is growing up! He takes after his daddy in so many ways! He is tall and thin! No chunky thighs for this baby boy! His black hair is amazingly thick and full and is stick straight. He got my color and his daddy's texture. He has a mouth with teeth now and is enjoying some baby food. His favorite is avocado. Yum yum! He is just about to walk and is cruising everywhere and says Mama and Dada to us which is a real treat, and he is starting to call Eric "Eik" and Rebecca "Bebe". I love it! He is also interacting with the other kiddo's when we see each other and man is he a social butterfly! I know he will be very happy to have siblings. I really think that he and his sister will have a special bond. He is going to his monthly appointments and so far everything looks ok so we'll just wait and see what happens.

The winter season is creeping up and man am I happy I'll be resting with my family for most of it. I feel huge and sore and can't wait to get this baby out of me! It'll be nice again because we'll have help as we get used to being a family of 4 (or 6, depending how you look at it). So much fun! OK, I'm giving the computer to Eric now so he can write an update on him and Rebecca. Bye!

Hello this is Eric. I am finally settled into everything and love all the music stuff I'm doing. I am very much enjoying my job at KP as well and even get to play on the corner occasionally. I am loving writing songs for ILEN and love to perform so much! I've been working out with Rebecca and getting into shape to play those screaming high notes even better! =P School is going great and I love having almost all my classes with my lovely wife and my best friend in the whole world. Bring it, junior year! Then I'll be a senior and then done!

Rebecca and I love the house also and love throwing parties. Between TV, video games, music, party games, and all out fun in our game room, I feel like I am living in Heaven. I can't wait to see what other people we welcome into our lives and throw parties with!

As for kids, we are definitely going to have some but we're waiting until at least next year to try to add our own so that we'll be done with school or close to it. We're also definitely going to adopt, but we have to be a little older first. As my wife is adopted it is very close to both of our hearts and I would love to change the world to a child.

Rebecca is at work right now, so I'll say a few things about her. She is loving school as much as we all are and also loves to take care of Sterling. She is so beautiful and funny and makes friends easily and enjoys going on outings with Avicile or with other girls, and the two of them even let me and Les have guys nights out also. She has no problem getting around the house and her legs are both working just how they're supposed to. She is becoming quite the pro at video games too and her competitive nature that comes out is so much fun! I am so honored to be her husband. :-)

This is Eric, checking out. Hope you enjoyed that update!
