Birthday: June 29, 1952
Nationality: Rakian
Birth City: Qotai
Bloodline: Migali
Current City: Inyun
Title: Rakian Historical Scholar
Fast Facts:
- Teqa is one of only 3 Rakians in history with Osai Naori. One of the other two is also alive today!
- Rakia is, historically, the twin of Catarika and the two have been historically isolated for most of time, so there has just recently (~1800's) been a reunion between the two. Teqa has just one distant Catin relative, but he carried pure Migali blood and gave him his Catin surname. He adapted well to Rakian life and his Catin race was forgotten through time.
- He is the oldest of two children and is the son of Sheqan Niahan and MierQi Tosa. He has a younger brother named Miar Qen (1955).
- Being nearly full-blooded Rakian, Teqa stands at a massive 7'4''.
- He enjoys traveling all over the world but his height causes all kinds of trouble.
- He knew he was different growing up when he noticed that he healed faster than other kids. He was very into soccer and was constantly getting hurt so he quickly gained fame for this. He also did not sleep like other kids and the doctors could not find anything wrong so he too was sent home with a clean bill of health.
- Around the age of 8, he began to realize that he could foresee and predict things that were going to happen. Osai mostly spoke to him through pictures of people and places.
- By the time he was 9 he and his parents were convinced that he had a great gift but had no idea what it might be, for it was nothing like anyone had seen.
- Because he was from Rakia, a country far away from Catarika, and not many knew about Osai Naori, Osai told Teqa himself that he had his power and instructed him to tell his parents and get in contact with Midnight Fastbird, a then 26 year old Osanokai from Isle Del Akai.Teqa did this and his gift was confirmed, in a very odd place.
- All the Osanokai alive at the time received the knowledge that there was an Osanokai on Rakia about a year from his discovery. They were told since he was so isolated and it would help his confirmation if all the Osanokai could foresee it.
- After his discovery shortly before his 10th birthday in 1962 he set off to read of his great gift and how he got something so geographically foreign. This sparked his interest in history which never died.
- He foresaw himself as a scholar and attended Inyun International University where he studied History with an emphasis in Rakian History. He is currently professor of Rakian Studies at IIU.
- He met his wife, Miren Qone, as a freshman in college. The moment he saw her he realized she was the girl in his mind who would be his wife. He got to know her and they began dating shortly after that, before marrying in 1973.
- They have one son, Saio Niahan (1988), who actually moved to Catarika to study Catin history.
- Teqa still loves sports, especially basketball, and plays in his free time with his brother's family.
- He also serves as a Catin translator, since he is inherently fluent in it.
A Short Description:
As he got out of the train and stepped into the city of Dahhod, Teqa Niahan stared at the fiery reds and yellows of the autumn maple trees in awe. Rarely had he seen something so precious and beautiful. With an excited soft smile he began to walk down a dirt path that would take him to the location of the Kiillaanian Osanokai Gathering, organized by S. R. Sorela. He just so happened to be in Isle Del Akai around that time so he decided that he would go to the meeting with Midnight Fastbird.
He looked down. Midnight was following closely near him, laughing at his excitement over the beauty of the trees. He briefly felt out of place, towering over him by over a foot, but the feeling quickly left him as Osai flashed in his mind the merriment they would enjoy for this extended weekend. The two of them approached the meetinghouse where they could clearly identify S. R. Sorela, Oja Diamond, and Thomas Keery. Teqa's face lit up and his eyes glowed as he greeted them with open arms. It was the first time he had met many of them and even though he couldn't speak Kevian well it didn't matter, because they all spoke in Catin!
He described his story to the younger men who did not know him very well. His face was completely Rakian and hardly looked Catin at all. Everything- from the round, blue eyes to the wide nose to his full height and deep voice, hid any resemblance of Catin blood in him. The only thing that gave it away was his Catin last name, which is very uncommon in Rakia. He spoke perfect Catin with a strong Rakian accent which added to his charm, making everyone smile. As all the men in attendance gathered around a table outdoors, he spoke with his soft, deep Rakian voice telling them all about Rakian history. It was very fun for him and Dr. Sorela to compare Rakia and Catarika, the two lands that began the earth.
When the festivities were over, he said his goodbyes and left with a smile back for home, where he would have many fun stories to tell his students.
