Title: Minister of Goodwill
Fast Facts:
- Drakon Visai is directly related to Mera Visi and has pure Loch blood from his mother.
- He is also directly related to Isli Loch, the current Leena Herbalist Double-Master, and has met her several times. Even though their common ancestor goes back a ways they have a striking resemblance.
- He is the only child of Kitalo Visai and Aranel Loch.
- His name literally translates from Keòen as Dragon Likeness.
- When asked which of the two races he identifies with the most, he would say Catin, even though his name is Keòen and he looks quite Jadali in appearance.
- He has lived in Rihanu almost all of his life and grew up less than a mile from Osai's Palace.
- He rarely slept and more often than not could be found playing or reading in total darkness.
- Even though his parents were historical scholars and knew full well about Osai, they did not suspect their son to have Osai Naori because they simply had no other children to compare him with. They simply thought he just enjoyed playing in the dark. They did not realize how often he was up, as he learned to hide in his bed when they walked by to check on him. In fact they did not suspect his great gift until he was badly injured in a childhood accident and sustained bad burns over much of his right leg. He was treated and healed in literally one month- from blistered to completely healed scar tissue. Only then did it dawn on them that he could possibly be a Man of Osai. They began putting the small pieces together that they had overlooked thinking they were looking too hard.
- Kitalo Visai was given the power to call forth the gifts in 1909 and was able to call forth the ring of triangles in his son's eyes on the eve of his 9th birthday. He could hardly believe his eyes, since he was a scholar of this area of history, and reportedly picked up his son and ran through the house shouting "Osielo Idanda!!! Ki'n masiro da en Osanokaio!!!" (translated: "By the Darkness!!! My son is a Man of Osai!!") Drakon Visai recounts being as calm as the lake at morning, looking his father right in the eye, and without any hint of humor responded with "Haye ki wahatteni, Api!" ("But I already knew that, Dad!") before breaking into giggles and hugging him tightly.
- As soon as he was discovered, he went the half mile to Osai's Palace to meet Yehai Sorela, who was just 19 years old at the time, and the 2nd-newest discovered Osanokai in several decades (just in front of the next Eldin, Ilonwyn Lochmont, discovered in 1908) until the discovery of 14-year-old Zabi Mohola a year later who would fall between Yehai and Drakon. He also met with Miaro Migali and Alsuvo Sorela and learned much about himself and who he could become while in their company.
- Osai showed him the name and face of Zabi Mohola just before and after his discovery, and Drakon Visai met him along with the other Osanokai shortly after.
- He is of Sorela descent, which was carried in the blood of his mother all the way back to the original Hieldin blood, which strongly contained it.
- He always had a strong desire to serve and foresaw his position as Minister of Goodwill in the Catin government.
- He grew up surrounded by many great friends, and was a very social man who enjoyed helping others. He was always anonymously doing nice things for others to uplift them.
- As a youth, right up until his official position, he worked at a local care center for the disabled and the elderly, working nights, and loves his job dearly. He would entertain the people and help them take their minds off their failing bodies.
- He fell in love with the gorgeous Alina Levia, a Jadali/Catin musician with lovely brown hair. They were friends throughout childhood and he asked her on a date after he foresaw them getting married. They dated for many years before getting married in 1922. They were loved and respected by all the people that they knew and would continue to administer to others together.
- He attended Rihanu University starting in 1918 where he would eventually go all the way to his PhD in Education and Political Science.
- He entered the Catin government in 1930 where he held many different offices before becoming appointed Minister of Goodwill in 1942. He has held this position ever since.
- He travels often, all over not just Catarika but the world, speaking on behalf of Catarika and also about King Osai and his service. He loves nothing more than presenting to people and helping fuel change in their lives for the good.
- His pair is Yehai Sorela and the two of them do much of their traveling together. They are quite literal opposites of one another and yet are the closest of friends.
- His favorite place to visit is Leena.
- He has eight children: Aldin Visai (1924), Arina Barra (1926), Erathor Visai (1927), Miri Saial (1930), Erika Res (1933), Yoanis Visai (1935), Inala Kasal (1936), and Murcaily Visai (1938). He has many descendants as well, scattered throughout Catarika, Jadali, Rania, Morley Atoll, and Kiillaana. All of his children are still living although his wife Alina passed on from old age in 2002 at the age of 100.
- He still loves reading and gaining knowledge.
- He has a strong love for music and there is almost always music playing near him. He makes it a point to visit every concert that he can and enjoys them very much.
A Short Description
Upon seeing his office inside Osai's Palace, the first thing to be noticed is the neatness of it all. There is not a single stray paper in the room and everything has its eye-pleasing place. A man with a dark, friendly face stands up as he notices the people entering his second home. He stands about 5'10'' and has the same glowing green eyes that livened the face of Mera Visi, and his hair is strikingly different than the other Catin men of the government- dark brown with a nice wave to it unlike the straight black hair of most of his fellow friends. He clearly looks Jadali, even though he really only has a small percentage of it mixed in with his mostly Catin blood. With those warm eyes set deep behind his pondering brow, he smiles and bids enter. His hands are long and elegant and many have commented that he should have learned piano, to which he laughs and responds, "Ki tavieni!" ("I already do!") Yes, his hidden passion is the piano and he is able to play it well, and plays many of the compositions of Yehai Sorela when he has a moment free. In fact, there is a piano right in his office!
Drakon Visai is a man of the dragon. He has a gift and passion for public speaking and brings forth an aura of fiery passion that he almost breathes out like that of a dragon. He loves to speak and plant seeds of hope and change for the better among his fellow man. The Sorela blood that flows through him shines through in his countenance and heavily brings the aura of peace and love. He is no stranger to travel and loves visiting the various places of the world, which he does often. He has met all of the Men of Osai save the very youngest ones and is always willing to talk to them on the phone or over the computer. Even at over 110 years old he looks ageless, somewhere between his 20's and 40's. At night instead of sleeping he is up doing business, drafting speeches, walking among the gardens of the palace, or at his home conversing with a friend or relative.
His compassion has reached far beyond what he can even know and he is well pleased of this. All he can say is that he hopes this continues for many more years to come.
