Fast Facts:
- Zabi Mohola is the oldest of 2 children.
- He is the son of Viervani Mohola and Kalina Resavi.
- He was born on Leap Day and is technically "only" 28 years old, soon to be 29.
- He had a younger brother named Kiar (1900-1919) who had what was later known as a defect on the 32nd segment. This made him unable to walk or talk and totally dependent on others for his care. Young Zabi had a special bond with his brother and spent his nights caring for him.
- Zabi has never moved away from his birth city of Saslu.
- He always seemed to see into the future a bit and never did sleep, but his parents were not concerned about it because he was fine. They just assumed he had a connection with his brother so strongly he could read his mind.
- He was one of the latest discoveries of Osanokai to date. He wasn't discovered until he was nearly 15 years old! This was because he lived in a pretty isolated area and never even suspected that he even had a Great Catin Gift. It wasn't until he happened to read about the recent discovery of Drakon Visai that he suddenly realized that his gifts he had all amounted to the Power of Threes. He then went to the local Aikada who called forth the Mark of Osai with tears streaming down his face. Zabi did not even fully realize the significance of this until he saw the reaction of his parents, who too cried and marveled him.
- From that day on, he read about Osai with new intent and love and fulfilled his gift well.
- He went almost right away to meet Yehai Sorela and Drakon Visai, who were both around his age. They of course were told by Osai when he was finally discovered but they both knew it long before. It was a very nice meeting and they have been in contact since. He had no idea that there were others like him!
- Through his high school years he helped take care of Kiar and always lovingly included him in everything that he did. He also stayed up long nights caring for him so that his parents could sleep. This love and passion he had for his brother would stay with him forever and he often references it in every book and painting.
- He went to school in his home city of Saslu, which is on the very northeastern tip of Catarika. He was always a very talented writer and painter and attended an arts college to further his crafts.
- He is most famous for his paintings which always include a hidden K or other likeness to his brother.
- He has written many novels which also always pay some sort of homage to Kiar.
- After Kiar passed away in 1919 at the age of 19, Zabi took the number 19 as his own and it truly has become his symbol.
- Zabi was a fairly isolated man but he was always in love with the beautiful Aumuri Alihi (1899-1979) and they were married in 1922.
- He was the father of just two children- Amureli Tigara (1928) and Kalo Mohola (1935). However, both of his children went on to have 10 children so he has countless descendants. He knows all of their names and keeps in touch with them all.
- He is known for his quiet but kind nature.
- His favorite place to be is in the northern shorefront with a canvas in front of him.
- His favorite color is white. To him it represents purity of heart and mind as well as rebirth.
- He is described as a true hermit, one who keeps to himself most of the time. He does however love to entertain visitors and has traveled around Catarika meeting the Men of Osai as well as doctors of the times.
- However... he visits the local hospitals often, being with the ill, because it brings him closer to his brother. He has made countless artwork for the ill children and is actually pretty famous in his hometown.
His house is small and nearly spotless white, like the blank canvas he intended it to be. He designed and built it himself and its huge windows make lights unimportant. From the driveway, one can see right through to the shore upon which his house majestically and yet humbly stands. There, on a white porch, the sun dancing from the right setting to the left as the days rolled by, was the figure of a small man, paintbrush in hand, at a large canvas set out before him. His hair was short and well-kept, his cat-shaped eyes hidden under a brow furrowed in concentration. He painted everything he saw in vision, making it a unique masterpiece that he was proud of. Upon being greeted, he smiled softly and with a loud voice exclaimed, "Ah! Isvari ni! Kitteri!" He was proud of his work and although he did not seek out any social activity he was more than social and animated when visitors stopped by.
He always knew they were coming, due to his ability to see into things to come, and they were always welcome. If he was not currently painting something he would give tours of his studio, laughing and enjoying the stories as he told them. He was also quite fond of walking on the beach, always barefoot, reminiscing of the early days. One of his favorite stories that he told often was when Osai made known to all of his Men at the time that the man of both Osai and Terabi had been discovered. Being isolated, he saw many more pieces of the puzzle than anyone else but was specifically told not to share them until it was time. He knew the year that this would happen, what crest he would be of, where this would take place, and some of the process involved in this coming to be. He dreamed of the day when he could meet this person and he got that wish in the mid 70's. He recounts that meeting as one of his favorite times and clearly loves that amazing history, and that he was able to have his life parallel with it.
While Zabi may seem like an antisocial man, he is clearly not. He only appears so because he does not actively seek out much outside of his lovely beachfront home besides administering to the ill children in the local hospitals and care centers. An artist he clearly is and has a lot of the stereotypes that go along with it but he is a truly caring man who uses his great gift and talents to make the lives of others a bit better.
