Fast Facts:

• Ivan is the only Man of Osai to ever be from the very far southern country of Lisjovala.
• His Catin blood can be traced back to the 1700's when a small fleet of Catins sailed to Lisjovala to trade and three of them decided to stay.
• With the help of Osai, major historians, and the archives in Catarika, Ivan has successfully traced his miniscule yet important amount of Catin blood to the Kribana line.
• He is the 3rd oldest son of Nikolai Tovich and Svetlana Rika. His has 4 siblings- Nikolai Tovich II (1958), Georgiy Tovich (1959), Evgeniy Tovich (1966), and Katya Sjovan (1968)
• He gets his Catin blood from his mother.
• Perhaps surprisingly still, Terabi Tana is quite common in Lisjovala, and Ivan learned about it in school. However, he had no idea what Osai Naori was.
• Not surprisingly, Ivan was sent to the doctor at a young age because he did not sleep and they wanted to make sure he was all right. He was checked out, given a clean bill of health, and was sent home for his family to accept his unique ability to not sleep.
• He was well known in his family for having a body of steel. Every year the family would get sick but he was always the first to recover, in about 1/3 of the time it took everyone else. He also healed from every childhood injury quickly, about 3 times as fast. He was also very strong for his size and age.
  
• He once broke his arm as a small child and was completely out of the cast and healed in just over a week.
• One day, Ivan was playing along when some Catin-speaking folk visited their town. He ran up to them and started speaking flawless Catin. This was the real kicker that raised a flag that there was something very powerful and special about Ivan.
• His parents went to the Aikada (in Lisjovalan 'Sjaro') and told him about their son who seemed to have an obvious power. He met with the then 8-year-old Ivan and called forth the mark. His eyes glowed brightly with that ring of triangles, totally astounding his family. They had no idea that they had Catin blood but the Aikada was able to tell them that many centuries ago a Catin man with Kribana blood had come. As Ivan aged, Osai told him more about his ancestors since he had little access to the Catin records. He found out that his mother carried the blood and saw the face of that lone Catin ancestor that started something huge.
• He was nationally recognized at the age of 15 for being the first person in the country's history with Osai Naori.
• He attended the International Lisjovalan University where he got a degree in Philosophy.
• He is very dark and very quiet but like all Osanokai he is very loving. He works as a counselor at Kjava University.
• He met his wife, Galina Kavik, when he was in high school. The two of them married right after they graduated and they have two children, Myno Tovich (1985) and Danil Tovich (1989). Both live on opposite ends of the country.
• Ivan enjoys speaking at various places about Osai Naori, which he has become an expert on.
• He is the kind of person who quietly does kind things for others. He does not like to be very visible and prefers to be anonymously behind the scenes.

A Short Description

Ivan Tovich, though his race is totally different from the Catins halfway around the world, still has that familiar look of a Man of Osai. He is tall, with a completely full Lisjovalan figure. He is very muscular and his body almost moves poetically. His curly blond hair hangs in his face in ringlets when he is not at work and is effortlessly combed back when he is busy as his job of being a counselor. His tall face, big eyes, and long nose hide any sign that he actually holds Catin blood. However, unlike most Lisjovalans, his eyes are very deep-set and appear to be shadowed. He bears a furrowed brow and etched frown and his eyes are constantly glowing with bits of vision given by Osai. His large hand is often stroking his chin in the all too familiar pondering pose that so many of the Osanokai possess. He is very quiet, walking with hardly a sound at all.

As he doesn't sleep, he has all the time in the world and has everyone's complete trust as they tell him of what is going on in their life. He uses his gift to truly see what they are saying and to visualize it as it literally is. He is very good at referring people to the right places or people to help them overcome everything bothering them. He has seen just about everything in his many years as a counselor and has made many great friends. He is a man of great power and high stature, but never takes any credit for this. He humbly serves others with his great Catin gift so uniquely placed in his faraway country.
