Fast Facts:
  • Kaso Jonu is the oldest of two boys and the son of Razo Jonu and Erika Salo. His brother's name is Eiro Jonu (1970).
  • Growing up, he was always uniquely fascinated with the ill children at his school. While other children played during recess he would visit the room where the ill children spent most of their time and talk with them, play with them, and genuinely ask questions to their nurses and teachers.
  • He spent countless hours at the library reading books on various medical conditions so that he could make sense of all of them.
  • He saw a frequent and very distinct vision of himself being a caregiver when he was older and held onto this since it was so clear in his mind.
  • As he got older the frequency of his flashes of insight increased and his family began to take notice. He seemed to know everything before it would happen and based off of the things he saw which he described they were convinced that he may have the gift of Foresight so they arranged for him to meet with the Aikada of his neighborhood. When they met they sat down together and began to talk and he immediately suspected that Kaso was a Man of Osai. He excitedly called forth the mark and it shone brightly. His family was totally astounded and so very excited that their son was numbered among a very select group.
  • He is one of the few people to have Osai Naori through Rakanta blood.
  • After his discovery in 1977 he realized that the power that flowed through him was as real as his life and from then on he always tried to make the most of it. He very much enjoyed talking to Osai and loved to learn all he had to tell him.
  • When he entered high school he became old enough to obtain a job so he immediately set off for nursing training and got his first job in 1983 at a local care center for children. He also spent his elective at school being in the classroom with the ill children and helping to take care of them.
  • He met his wife, Liana Tanosu, in high school. Kaso helped care for her sister Kirin and would always visit with her when he went to their house. They began dating their senior year and got married right after high school. They moved to Kilgarie where Kaso and Liana went to school to become registered nurses. They both began working at a local care center and quickly gained ranks, putting love before everything else that they did.
  • Once he graduated from college in 1990 he became a certified nurse and began working full time at the care center he was working at. His wife went on to become certified the following year and became fully employed there as well.
  • In 1992 they welcomed Kirin Tanosu into their home and cared for her until she passed away in 2000.
  • They have one child, Annie Jonu (1997), who inherited her parents' deep caring for others.
  • As of 2002 Kaso cares for 3 children in their homes, working several night shifts. He is very inclusive of the younger siblings and always tries to be like family to them. He has made many very close friends throughout his many years of nursing.
  • He enjoys playing basketball in his free time and always finds the time to watch his daughter in her various events.
A Short Description

As he arrives at the home of the Kigal family he is greeted by the three little ones who run to the door and hug him excitedly. He gets down on his knee and hugs them all, excited to see them as well. He always brings them a little something special and today he presents them with flower pens that his daughter specially made for them. They excitedly run off to show Silren, who is laying on the couch, Kaso close behind them. Even though Silren cannot hold a pen he did not leave her out of the action and has brought her a flower hair clip to accentuate her lovely black hair. He goes up to her, holds her hand, and describes to her what he has brought for her today. She smiles as she recognizes his voice and is happy to have something pretty to look at and for others to enjoy.

The parents of the five children, along with their oldest, a teenager, appear in the living room and greet Kaso with open arms. He has not failed to give the oldest something nice as well and gives her a handmade flower hair tie. She smiles as she takes it and puts it in her hair to admire. The parents then sit town with Kaso and tell him their plans for the evening. Silren is due for her evening meal and some down time so they get a game of charades going, which he fully participates in between breathing treatments and the like. He brings nothing but love to the families he provides for and is making lifelong friends.
